William Scott Stone

Mr. William Scott Stone, 38, of Wade, NC, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 24, 1974, in Cumberland County, NC.

Scott was an electrician with Reaves Electric Company for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Edward and Mary Stone and maternal grandparents Billy and Della Mae Matthews; maternal great-grandmother Lillian Matthews.  
Scott is survived by his mother Carla Matthews Stone, of Wade, NC and his father James William "J.W." Stone, of Parkton, NC; one sister Rhonda Freeman,  and husband Tony, of Wade, NC; a niece Ciara Freeman, of Wade, NC; a nephew Aaron Freeman, of Wade, NC; four aunts Carolyn Laws, and husband Frank, of Fredericksburg, VA, Mary Ann Lambert, and husband Don, of Fredericksburg, VA, and Julia Sue Godwin, and husband Charles, of Eastover, NC, and Sharon Moore, of Eastover, NC; and numerous cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Snowball.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service and Crematory.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013 in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Dr. John Campbell and Pastor Joe Hickson officiating.  

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in memory of William Scott Stone c/o Carla E. Stone  6211 Adidas Street, Wade, NC 28395.
