Wanda H. Rose

Wanda H. Rose passed away on January 15, 2019, in Winston-Salem, NC.

Born in Breslau, Germany, she emigrated to the United States in the late 50’s.  Becoming an American Citizen was one of her proudest moments, a story she often shared. She lived and worked in Fayetteville, NC, for 30 years - raising her family, making life-long friends, and volunteering – particularly with the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed cooking, music (listening, playing, and singing), and good times with friends. If she could combine all three, she was happiest. She had a big heart, and made friends wherever she went.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jay, and two daughters, Susan and Patricia. She is survived by her son, Steven, daughter-in-law, Katrina, and two grandchildren, Alex and Rachel, all of Winston-Salem, with whom she had lived the past 10 years.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's-in-the-Pines Episcopal Church on Saturday, January 26^th at 2:00 pm. Burial with be limited to immediate family. Online obituary is located at www.sullivanshighland.com
