U.S. Army Ret. Staff Sgt. Robert Junior Leonard

U.S. Army Ret. Staff Sgt. Robert Junior Leonard, 66, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home.

He was born on August 26, 1951 in Lexington, NC to the late Robert James Leonard and Mary Alice Gulledge Leonard. He was a United States Military veteran with over 20 years of honorable service receiving numerous medals and commendations.

Spending time with his grandchildren and his family brought the most enjoyment to his life. Restoring tractors and automobiles with his children was a passion of his.

He was preceded in death by a son Jeffery Leonard.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years Myong Leonard, of the home; one son Tony Leonard and wife Christy, of Cedar Creek; daughter in law Dianisha Leonard, along with siblings Brenda, Shirley, Christine, Mark, Wendy, Susan, and six grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-6 at Tony's home, as well as Monday, November 6, 2017 from 11:45 am until 12:45 pm at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Broin Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park with the rendering of full military honors.

The family will hold a reception after the committal services at the residence of his son Tony Leonard and daughter-in-law Christy Leonard.
