U.S. Army Ret. Sgt. Ernest Braxton Crim, Jr., 98, of Durham, NC, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the North Carolina State Veterans Nursing home.
He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran, and retired with over 21 years of honorable service. He received numerous medals and commendations. He served as an airplane mechanic in the military.
He was preceded in death by one son Johnny Crim; two sisters Daisey Frederick and Senetta Lewis.
He is survived by his wife Incha Chu Crim, of Raleigh, NC; one daughter Iris E. Sippos, and husband John, of South Carolina; one son Eugene Crim, of South Carolina; several grandchildren; nieces Jeanie Rich, and husband Clifton, of Rougemont, NC, Pat Garrabrant, and husband Neil, of Colorado, and Judy Miner, and husband Paul, of Charlotte, NC.
A private burial will be held at Markham Memorial Gardens, in Durham, NC.
