US Army CW3 (Ret.) John Thomas Gerlosky

U.S. Army CW3 (Ret.) John Thomas Gerlosky, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the VA Medical Center.

He was born in Cleveland, OH on April 28, 1937.  During his nearly 22 year career in the Army, he earned a Bronze star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Master Parachute badge, and numerous other commendations.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dana; daughters, Nancy Jo Gemma, Linda Whitner; son, John Gerlosky; step children, Kay Oliver (Allen), Lana Cain, and Michele Matthews; along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled with full military honors at 10:30 am on  Monday,, July 24, 2017 in the chapel of Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
