Tony Argo

Rev. David Anthony “Tony” Argo, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 1 pm at Haymount United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Dr. John Tyson presiding.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:30am to 12:45pm in the Commons Room.

He graduated from Brevard College where he played in many bands and music groups before beginning his career as a Minister of Music at Haymount United Methodist Church.  He shared his musical talent with the Haymount UMC family for 40 years. 

Tony was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate of 40 years, Karen Argo; and his parents, Rev. and Mrs. W.D. Argo.

He is survived by his brother, Dale Argo of Kannapolis; niece, Leanna Woodward and husband, Matthew, and their children, Austin, Avery, Alex, and Logan, all of Kannapolis; sister-in-law, Lanette Tysinger and husband, John, of Denton; niece, Sherra Tysinger, of Durham; nephew, Daniel Tysinger and his wife Kathryn and their two daughters, Zelda and Astrid of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haymount UMC, 1700 Ft. Bragg Road, Fayetteville NC 28303, in memo write Tony and Karen Argo Endowment Fund.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
