Susan Long McMillan
Mrs. Susan Long McMillan, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, in Fayetteville.
She was born on June 17, 1946, to the late McKendree Robbins Long Jr. and Millie Page Long, in Statesville, NC. She grew up in Wilmington, and later moved to Fayetteville after her marriage in 1969.
She was a school teacher, a storyteller, an executive, and above all a wonderful mother & Nana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Barbery McMillan Jr.
Susan is survived by two daughters, Page Taylor, and grandson Nathan Joseph Taylor, of Fayetteville, NC, and Dorsey McMillan Leake, & husband James Joseph Leake, of Raleigh,NC. She is also survived by three Brothers,McKendree Robbins Long, III, of Blythewood, SC, Robert Hill Long, ofEugene, OR, and Anderson Long, of Athens, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service, with Rev. Tim Gore officiating.
Graveside services will follow in Old Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen, NC at 2:00 p.m.
