Steve Nelson formerly of Canton, GA and employed by Kawasaki Loaders, Kennesaw, GA until his retirement in 2007 passed away July 12th at his home in Fayettteville,North Carolina.
He will be truly missed by his family. He was an amazing father, loving husband and grandfather and deeply committed to the humane treatment of dogs and cats.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, daughters Stacy Sharp, Seymour, TN, and Kristie Nelson, Marietta, Ga, 5 granddaughters, brother Gary Nelson, Powell TN and two sisters Nicole Hendrix, Louisville, KY and April Oaks, Powell, TN. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to The Cherokee County Humane Society 7146 Big Woods Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189 (770) 928-5115 or an animal resue group or shelter of your choice.
