Sharon Joyce Stamos, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at home, with her family and friends by her side.
Sharon was born in Ecorse Township, MI, to the late Gerald and Mildred Lawson. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Marvin J. Stamos; and mother-in-law, Gloria Smith.
Left to cherish Sharon’s memory, are sons, John Stamos of Fayetteville, and James Stamos of Warrenton; Deborah Hatch and husband Christopher of Hillsborough, Diane Shelton and husband Terry of Hope Mills, and Doreen Stamos of Leland; grandchildren, Jessica Hinjosa-Gonzalez, David Thrailkill, Kastille Burke, Danielle Nason, Kristin Hatch, Sarah Stamos, Brooke Stamos, and Ashley Stamos; great grandchildren, Kayvean, Sylar, Ryleigh, Zoey, Walter, Julianne, Raegan, Jameson, and Savannah; sister, Shirley Pomeraning; sisters-in-law, Louise Radowick of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Terrie Vargo of Punta Gorda, FL; and her best friend, Emma Smith.
Sharon was a member of the Red Hat Society. When she wasn’t bird watching, reading, or gardening, she could be found volunteering at the Alms House. She will be remembered most for her passion to make others laugh.

The family will welcome friends from noon to 1pm on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church. Her funeral will follow at 1pm in the chapel. The service will conclude with burial at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
