Rhonda Horton McCaskill

Rhonda Horton McCaskill, 59, of Fayetteville, passed away on November 13, 2024.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 11am at Sullivan’s Highland Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.

Rhonda was born on June 5th, 1965, in Erwin, NC, to Gerald Reese Horton and the late Connie Lorraine Horton.

A simple woman who found joy in life's quiet moments, Rhonda was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved.  Affectionately known as "Sunshine" by those who loved her most, her warm heart and easy laugh were gifts to all who knew her.  Her appreciation for life's simple pleasures showed in her love of peaceful beach days, butterflies, and her endless collection of angels.  Though, her greatest joy came from being "Nana" to her beloved grandbabies, who brought out her most radiant smiles.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, just as simple and pure as she was.

Rhonda is survived by her daughter, Ashley Jones and husband, Germain, of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Natalia, Anson and Shani; father, Gerald Horton; two sisters, Tammy Horton and Barbara Brewington; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Horton and brother, Greg Horton.
