Rebecca Cooper Dawkins

Rebecca Cooper Dawkins, 81, of Southern Pines, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on December 12, 2023.

She was born in Sampson County on December 7, 1942, to the late Wiley and Mildred Cooper.  Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Hamilton Dawkins, Sr.

Rebecca cherished her time being spent with her immediate family. She was known for her cooking, especially her famous dressing, meatloaf, and sweet potato pie.

Left to cherish Rebecca’s memory are her sons, Rob Dawkins (Diann), and David Dawkins (Shannon); grandchildren, Chase Dawkins, Brooke Dawkins, and Cole Caceres; sister, Grace Ivey; and many other family members.

A 1pm graveside service, officiated by Nick Smith, is scheduled for Friday, December 15, 2023, at Lafayette Memorial Park.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
