Patricia Hudson Stephens, age 64, passed away on April 16, 2024. She was born May 3,1959 in Salem, Ohio, the youngest daughter of Homer C. Hudson and Hazel Tingen Hudson. She grew up in North Carolina, living for the last several years in Fayetteville, NC. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, David L. Stephens.
She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She adored her grandchildren, who called her “Muh”, and they adored her right back. She was artistic; loving to color, paint, and bling her phone cases, walking cane, purses, etc. and loved crafting beautiful beaded jewelry. Her passion was music- she knew the name of any song, who wrote it, sang it, and when it was released. She had an amazing voice, singing in church, social events, and for family and friends. She never met a stranger, was a chatterbox, loyal, and generous. Patricia was a free spirit, witty, a wild child, who loved a good joke or a prank. She loved to party, actually, she WAS the party, kicking it to high gear with her jokes, and laughter. Her first conversation with God may go something like this: Patricia: Hey! Are you God? God: Yes. Patricia: I thought you’d be taller…..God smiles indulgently…Heaven will her ultimate “party in the sky”.
She is survived by her children: David Stephens, Jr. (Andrea), Tracy Britt (Bryan), Matthew Stephens (Bonnie), and Juanita Stephens (Jon, fiancé). Grandchildren: Tyler, Tayler, Jonathan, Mikaella, Artemis, Adalye, Atticus, Lydia, and Scarlett. Great grandchildren: Brayden, Breanne, Brennen, and Iyanna. Sisters: Melody Bouknight, Susan Hill (RJ), Cheryl Gibson (Tommy), and brother, John D. Hudson (Debbie), as well
as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beloved pet: Livie.
In lieu of a funeral service, there will be a Celebration of Patricia’s life for close friends and family in the summer.
