Pamela Glovier Arthur

Mrs. Pamela Glovier Arthur, 72, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, February 20^th at home with her family by her side. 

Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Daniel K. Arthur, her children, Eric Arthur of Fayetteville and David Arthur of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Helayna Arthur and James Arthur.  She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Pauline Glovier of Staunton, Virginia. 

Pamela attended Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, Virginia where she was the pianist for the high school choir.  It was the start of a music career which included her role as the organist at First Baptist Church in Staunton, at Evangelical United Brethren Church of Staunton, at Eagle River Presbyterian Church in Eagle River, Alaska, and at MacPherson Church in Fayetteville. 

Pamela enrolled at James Madison University where she entered nursing school and then she completed her studies at the University of Virginia, graduating with a BS in nursing.  Her career in nursing included assignments in Virginia, Alaska, and North Carolina.  Her favorite assignment was without a doubt labor and delivery, and she served as the Head Nurse of Labor and Delivery at Alaska Regional Hospital.  She moved on to a position as head of Quality Resources, but never lost her love of working with mothers and babies. 

A funeral service will be held at MacPherson Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 am.  The family will receive visitors at the church prior to the service on Saturday from 10 am to 11:00 am.   The burial will follow at the church cemetery.
