Orville Odell Williams

Orville Odell Williams, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at his home.

He was born in Sampson County on November 26, 1932, to the late Carson Olan Williams and Nora Brown Williams. 

After serving in the Air Force he joined the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department where he held many different positions.  He served as an Usher at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church for many years.  A devout Christian, Odell loved his Lord, his Family, and his country.

Left to cherish Odell’s memory is his beloved wife of over 60 years, Ann; daughters S. Michele Williams and Melissa Melton and husband Brad; son, Scott Williams and wife Sandye; grandsons, Carson Williams, Tyler Melton, and Casey Melton; and his devoted dog, Elvis.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor John Cook.  The family will welcome friends with a time of remembrance following the service.
