Mrs. Ona Jean Hill, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday June 14, 2013, at her home in Fayetteville, NC. She was surrounded by family at the time of her death.
She was born on January 19,1928, in Romulus, Michigan to the late John and Agnes Killingbeck
She was preceded in death by her husband Reginald William Hill, Sr and daughter Regina Lynn Hill.
Mom was a homemaker and raised her children before beginning her work career at age 50. She began her career at JC Penny in the Payroll Department where she worked for 10 years. At age 60 she began working with the US Postal Service as a letter carrier. She worked for the next 13 years before retiring at age 73 as a postal clerk. She was a dedicated worker and made many friends during this time.
Mom is survived by two loving daughters and their husbands JoAnne Scarbrough and husband Kenny Scarbrough. Debbie Weeks and husband Denny Weeks. Two devoted sons and their wife's. Frank V Hill and wife Sheere R Hill. Reginald W Hill and wife Rhonda Hill.
Moms grand children include; Kimberly Clark and husband Scot Clark. Matthew Weeks and wife Felicia Weeks. Denny Zarifis Jr., Christopher Devin Zarifis, Aaron Hill, Ashley Hill, Trey Hill, Paige Hill.
Great Grand children include; Jalyn Clark, Alexa Clark, Alexis Weeks, Maddux Weeks, Daxon Weeks, Alexis Morgan Zarifis, Cole William Zarifis and Aniston Hill.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Sullivanâs Highland Funeral Service and Crematory from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Sullivanâs Highland Funeral Service Chapel, with Chaplain Jim Hales officiating.
Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West.
