N. Paulette Mercer, 70 of Fayetteville, NC, formerly of Alpharetta, GA, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020.
She was born in Atlanta, GA, on November 25, 1949, to the late Paul and Vera Shippey. She was also predeceased by her husband, Troy.
Paulette retired from driving a school bus after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a doting mom and grandma who rarely missed a sporting event, scouting event, or school awards ceremonies for her son and grandchildren. She taught us to do our best and to do what is right, but the greatest lesson we learned is to have fun.
Left to cherish Paulette’s memory is her son, Edward Mercer and wife Karen; grandsons, Alex and Miles Mercer, all of Fayetteville; sister, Susan Shippey of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Benny Shippey and wife Mary of Flagler Beach, FL; and many bothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be conducted at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA, on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
