Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Norris, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015, in Cape Fear Valley Hospital, while surrounded by the family that she so dearly loved.
She was born on February 22, 1937, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Eben and Ester Robertson, in Quincy, MA. Ginny was a dedicated mom who lived by her motto, " be happy, have fun, and laugh."
She was preceded in death by her son, Lewis Norris.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alvin Norris of Fayetteville; daughter, Julie Morganti and husband David of Glen Lyon, PA; son, Michael Norris and wife Carol of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Natalie Morganti of PA; grandsons, Jacob Norris of Fayetteville, Matthew Norris of Fayetteville, and Scott Morganti of PA; and sisters, Jean Lally of MA and Rozzie Hartford of MA.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2014, at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Dr. John Hedgepeth, will be conducted in Northwood Temple Tabernacle Church on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park immediately following the service.
