Mrs. Theda Darlene Holmes

Our Beloved Mother, T. Darlene Holmes “Grannie Darlene”, 78, of Godwin passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015, after a long battle with Cancer.

She left a family legacy of three children, Beverly (Husband Del), Buddy (Wife Wanda) and Lynn (Husband Ray) with seven grandchildren: Melissa, Dawn, Rusty, Kenny, Alex, Dalton and Melanie; and six great grandchildren Trevor, MacKenzie, Will, Sam, Ava Grace and Rhylee.
Two beloved pets Beau and Joey who have been adopted in to the family.
Grannie Darlene was a member of Godwin Presbyterian Church and so loved our Father in heaven that she was the strength and guidance for her children and grandchildren in leading them to the Lord.

Darlene’s second love was her yard with trees and flowers that she planted in which most were given to her from her loving mother Sophia, father Gordon and Sisters Marie, Jeannie and Margaret.

She retired from the Cumberland County Tax Office, where she cherished the friendships she formed over the years.

At the request of Grannie Darlene, no services will be conducted.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org or P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK  73123-1718.

The family is waiting until Grannie Darlene’s favorite time of year in the spring to celebrate her homecoming.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory
