Mrs. Nancy Thomas Stephenson

Mrs. Nancy Thomas Stephenson, 73, of Fayetteville, N.C., passed away on September 23, 2015, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born June 25, 1942, in Fuquay-Varina, NC, to the late Ernest and Isabel Thomas.

Wife of her late loving husband Edward Stephenson, Nancy’s surviving family members include her brother Bobby Thomas and his wife Diana of Willow Springs, NC; son Brandon Callis of Fayetteville, NC; daughter Susan Stephenson DuPree and her husband Todd of Lillington, NC; daughter Jenny Morton of Fayetteville, NC; son Grady Stephenson and his wife Taylor of Fayetteville, NC, along with three granddaughters, Meghan Chisholm of Chicago, IL, Samantha and Jessica DuPree of Lillington, NC.

Nancy had a passion for life! She was a strong, energetic woman that can be described as “never meeting a stranger.” Nancy’s warmth was felt immediately upon meeting her, and her cherished friendships were plenty. The first person on the dance floor wearing her ever present smile, Nancy’s humor, selflessness and love will never be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Village Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage our friends and family to donate to two special organizations dear to Nancy’s heart:  Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch at faoiam.org and Fayetteville Animal Protection Society at fapspet.org.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
