Mrs. Mildred Janette Decker
Mrs. Mildred Janette (Jan) Decker, 77, of Fayetteville, NC, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 9th, 2014.
A retired floral designer, Jan loved gardening and spending time with family and friends. Born in Rock Springs, Texas, she eventually settled in North Carolina and raised two children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grew to affectionately refer to her as "Amma".
She is proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Charlene Decker; her son, David Eberhardt; a granddaughter, Tiffany Sykes.
Surviving is her daughter Danna Sykes and husband John of Fayetteville, NC; Her sister, Carole Martin of San Antonio, TX; Her grandchildren, Meghan Nelson and husband Tyler, Rylee Sykes, Jason Sykes and his wife, Rebecca; Her great-grandchildren, Madelyn Nelson and Taylor Sykes; and a host of special friends and neighbors.
A graveside service is to be held at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1:00 PM, with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, P.O Box 26719, Fayetteville, NC, 28314.
