Mrs. Maxine Austin Funderburk, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Highsmith- Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville. She was born April 23, 1933.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Carson Funderburk of Pageland, SC.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Marilyn F. Bullock (late L. Roger Bullock) of Stedman, Sandra F. Fincher (Mark Fincher) of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Shelley Taylor, Nicholas Fincher, Crystal Fields and Jason Fincher; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Jackson, and Andrew.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service in Fayetteville. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Village Baptist Church Bible Fund, 906 S. McPherson Church Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28303 or Gideon's International, P.O. Box 782 Fayetteville, NC 28302.
