Mrs. Marsha Clodfelter Knussmann

Mrs. Marsha Clodfelter Knussmann, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. Heaven received another angel.

She was born April 18, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., to Wyatman and Ruth Clodfelter.

Mrs. Knussmann was preceeded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved grandfather, Bal Clodfelter.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Knussmann of Fayetteville; daughter, Ginger Knussmann of Charlotte; son, Mark Knussmann and his wife, Amy, of Richmond Hill, Ga.; sister, Cindy Barton and her husband, Bob, of Troy; grandchildren, Lauren Knussmann and Lindsey Knussmann; best friend, whom she loved as a sister, Betty Kirby of Fayetteville; and her dogs, Chase, Chance and Daisey.

Mrs. Knussmann is best remembered as a dedicated Army wife and beloved mother who always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She was a fiery redhead who spoke her mind. Her honest humor will be missed by many.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association at donations.diabetes.org or 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.

A visitation will be held at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory from 4 to 6p.m. today, Nov. 9, 2014. A memorial service, celebrating her life, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, in Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
