Mrs. Louise Williams Smith

Louise W. Smith, 92, of Wade, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

She was born on November 12, 1922 in Cumberland County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Josiah and Luvenia Williams.

Louise retired with 42 years of service at J.C. Penney's. She was a  dedicated member of Old Bluff Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, of 54 years, Bill Smith; and sons, Carl Smith and Ray Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Ray Edwards and wife, Lois, of Wade, Lamar Smith and wife, Debra, of Northport, AL; grandsons Phillip and wife, Teresa of Wade and Michael and wife Deneen of Fayetteville; Toby Smith of Alabama, Brian Smith of Fayetteville, and granddaughters, Danielle Atkins of Alabama, Melissa Smith of Fayetteville; and Debbie Hajovsky of Texas; sisters-in-law, Maryann S. Johnson and Lela S. Peterson of Fayetteville, daughter-in-law Brenda Jourden (Lewis) of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Phillip, Jr. (Lauren), Melissa Fann (Ray) of Wade, Brittany and Taylor Edwards of Fayetteville, Travis Smith of Alabama and Danielle Tuck of Colorado; nine great-great- grandchildren; nieces, Margaret Lou Griffin of Wade, Linda Faye (Risto) Onemna of Eastover, Joann (John) Cisson of South Carolina, Marie Schelke of Angier; nephews, Donnie Williams of Wade, Chris Mabry of Angier, and Scott Peterson of Mississippi.                                                                                      

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Tree Project, P.O. Box 96, Wade, NC  28395.

A graveside funeral service, officiated by Pastor Herb Young, will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 15 , 2015.  Mr. Mac Williams will give the eulogy.
