Mrs. Lottie Elizabeth Grimsley, 99, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 26, 1917 to the Ernest David Smithman and Sarah Elizabeth Creech Smithman.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church on Anderson Street in Fayetteville. She retired from the Capitol Department Store.
She was preceded in death by her son Warren P. Grimsley and her husband Willard F. Grimsley.
She is survived by a son Chestley “Chet†Grimsley, of Hot Springs, AR; two daughters Janet E. Grimsley, and a granddaughter Kimberly Hunter, both of the home and Dianne G. Solomon, of Naples, FL; one sister Patricia S. Williams, of Fayetteville, NC; one Brother Wesley R. Smithman, Salisbury, NC; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Lafayette Memorial Park.
