Mrs. Judy Lane Butler-Morris, 67, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
She was born on April 30, 1946, at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville, NC to the late Hughie Butler and Thelma Milligan Butler.
She was a loving wife, mother, and "mema". She loved daytime soap operas especially "Young and the Restless". Judy's passion for going to the movies with either family or friends brought her much enjoyment in life.
Judy and Bob loved to travel together where they visited all the lighthouses in North Carolina. They also loved traveling together to the beach and mountains.
She is survived by her husband Bob Morris, of the home; three daughters Donna Whitley and husband James Norwood Whitley III, of Stantonsburg, NC, Lisa Foster, of Sanford, NC and Marion Hobbs of Eastover, NC; one son Jeff Brown and wife Dawn G. Brown of Cary, NC.
She is known to the five grandchildren as "mema" who are Elizabeth, James, Justin, Jordan, and Marissa. Judy was very proud of her grandchildren and loved them dearly.
The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service chapel with Rev. Brian Kinlaw officiating.
Private burial will follow in Butler Cemetery in Fayetteville, NC.
