Mrs. Joyce Mary Tomascik
Mrs. Joyce Mary Tomascik, 86, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was formerly of Niagara Falls, NY.
She was born on July 24, 1929, in Hamilton, Ontario Canada, to the late Frederick and Gertrude Moseley Byers.
When she came to New York City from Canada her ambition was to be a dancer. Prior to retiring she was an executive secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Tomascik and one son George Christopher Tomascik.
She is survived by one daughter Nancy G. Williams and husband Marvin, of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren Christopher Tomascik, Jason Tomascik, and Paul Williams; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service and Crematory.
Burial will be at North Ridge Cemetery, in Cambria, New York.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Cumberland County Council on Older Adults 339 Devers Street, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
