Mrs. Joanne B. Near, 52, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Mrs. Near was born on October 3, 1961 in Elizabeth, NJ.
She is survived by her husband, Marc L. Near; two daughters, Joanna G. Corretjer and Christina M. Corretjer; a son, Jorge A. Corretjer; parents, Wayne and Ann Sorensen; father-in-law, Lawrence Near; three sisters, Jacqueline M. Terlizzi and husband Thomas, Kelly Serafin, Debra A. Sorensen; brother, Wayne C. Sorensen, Jr. and wife, Joyce; two grandchildren, Anthony J. Zito, Jr. and Samantha R. Zito; three nieces, Tiffani Serafin, April Terlizzi, Brittany Sorensen; five nephews, Christopher Serafin, Thomas Terlizzi, Jr., Wayne R. Sorensen, Dustin Terlizzi, Nicholas Terlizzi; two great-niece, Nevaeh M. Jennings, Niyah M. Jennings; one great-nephew, Thomas Terlizzi, III.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service, with Fr. Jack Kelly, officiating.
