Mrs. Janice Skipper Morgan
Mrs. Janice Skipper Morgan, 97, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Wilmington Care Center.
She was born on October 26, 1916, in Boardman, NC, to the late Joseph Foster Skipper and Sally Shepard Skipper.
She retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad with over 34 years of service. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Fayetteville Chapter #334. Also, she was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Morgan Sr. and one son Leroy Morgan Jr..
She is survived by one daughter Sally Deike, and husband Tim, of Leland, NC; three grandsons Joey Lamm, Lem Morgan, and Marshall Morgan; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. Jane Almon and Rev. John McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Marvin United Methodist Church 6740 NC Highway 87 S., Fayetteville, NC, 28306 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Wilmington Care Center 1406 Physicians Dr, Wilmington, NC 28401or Shriner's Hospital for Children 950 West Faris Rd.
