Mrs. Hertha Magdalena Evans, 84, a resident of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
She was born on January 16, 1929, in Munich, Germany, to the late Jakob Egger and Franziska Ochsenkuhn Egger.
She served as volunteer at the Fort Bragg Thrift Shop for over 40 years. She was a resident of Fayetteville for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee T. Evans and a sister Erika Egger.
She leaves behind a loving family and numerous friends.
She is survived by three daughters Yvonne Lahrman, and husband Garry, of Creston, NC, Shirley Simone, and husband Jim, of Lake Orion, MI, and Tina Bush and husband Mark, of San Antonio, TX: one sister Margot Binas, of Fayetteville, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 1:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service and Crematory. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Archie Barringer officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing, OK.
