Mrs. Frances Passmore Foster

Mrs. Frances Passmore Foster, 93, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on the morning of Thursday, May 29, 2014.   A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and perhaps, most importantly, a Christian, Frances departed this world leaving it a better place than when she entered it.  

Frances was born on December 25, 1920 in Asheville, NC, and was a former resident of Clinton, SC.  Frances married Lloyd R. Foster on November 8, 1941.  They were married for 63 years prior to his death in 2005.  A dedicated employee of Sears Department Store, she was also a devoted member of Lafayette Baptist Church.

She leaves behind three sons and their wives: Doug and Gaye and Dave and Patty of Fayetteville, Mark and Cathy of Davidson; six grandchildren: Christopher, Andrew (Ashley), Kymberly (Joe), Kyle, Kristin, and Karlyn; and one great-grandson, Lee.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Lafayette Baptist Church.  A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
