Mrs. Etta Cameron Ruff

Etta Richey Cameron Ruff, 94, of Fayetteville, passed away at her home on Monday, October 24, 2016.

She was born in Piedmont, SC on September 22, 1922 to the late H.W. and Frances Richey.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Clifton Cameron, Jr.

Etta taught many wonderful children at Westlawn Elementary which later became Alma O. Easom Elementary over a thirty year span.  She called Haymount United Methodist Church home for many years before attending Covenant Love Church for the past decade while she was living and being cared for by her daughter, Rebecca.  She was a selfless and giving lady, who loved God and her family.  She was always willing to help those in need.

Etta is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Joan Cameron McLemore; sons, Hugh Scott Cameron and wife Janet, James McKay Cameron; grandchildren, Scottie Cameron and wife Avery, Mandy Barnes and husband Chris, Clifton Cameron and wife Shannon, Cameron McLemore and wife Christy, Amy McLemore; great grandchildren, Wallace Cameron, Glenn Cameron, Jack Barnes, Maggie Barnes, Hugh Cameron, Brody Coppola, Brady Barnes, Elyse McLemore, Kylie McLemore, Keens Cameron, Lily Cameron, Mary Etta Barnes, Holden Cameron all of Fayetteville; sister, Margo Taylor of Myrtle Beach, Barbara Richey of Fountain Inn, SC; brother, Jim Richey of Anderson, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
