Mrs. Erma Beasley Johnson, 92, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at FirstHealth Hospice Center, in Pinehurst, NC.
She was born on August 21, 1921, in Hoke, Co., NC to the late Lessie Johnson Beasley and Walter Beasley.
Mrs. Johnson was a devoted member of Lafayette Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Erma began her career in flowers with the former Taylorâs Florist in Fayetteville, NC. Then she opened Ermaâs House of Flowers where she owned and operated for over 35 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Perry Warren Johnson and one son James Warren Johnson and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters Betty Jean Clark, and husband Coy Allen Clark, of Raeford, NC and Judith Kay Porter, of San Antonio, TX; one brother Scott Beasley, of Washington, NC; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 11:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Lafayette Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lafayette Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Branch officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
