Mrs. "Christine" Pope Hickman

Mrs. “Christine” Pope Hickman, 84, a resident of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013.
She was born on May 20, 1929, in Sampson County, to the late Oscar Davis Pope and Mary Elizabeth Bordeaux Pope.  She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her, daughter, Shelia Pope Dent.

She is survived by her husband, Charles O’Neal Hickman; her children, Pat Cropp and husband Collier of Fayetteville, Michelle Everidge and husband Kenneth of Clayton, Sharon Keane and husband Bryan, of Oak Island, Martha Johnson of Raleigh, Tim Pope and wife Carol of Fayetteville, Kerry Pope and wife Audra of Linden and Chris Pope of Fayetteville: 10 grandchildren, Jenna Everidge, Jeremy Everidge, Daniel Faircloth, Caroline Pope, Collin Pope, Brandon Dent, Brianna Dent Virtue, Jacqueline Pope, Avery Pope and Courtney Pope; three great-grandchildren, Keaton, Ada and Jocelyn.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2013, from noon to until 1:45p.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 2p.m. in the church with Dr. Gerry Davis and the Rev. Haywood Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Andrews United Methodist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions  may be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church Building Fund, 121 Lofton Dr., Fayetteville, NC 28311.
