Mrs. Betty Rose Johnson, 62, of Fayetteville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 5, 1951, in Goldsboro, NC, to the late John Bruce McLendon and Ruth Cutchin McLendon. She was also preceded in death by her brother Dan McLendon. She was a member of Praise Fellowship Church of God. She was also a seamstress who worked out of her home and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Tommy Lee Johnson, of the home; one son Tommy Lee Jonson II and wife Donna, of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters Holly Lewis and husband Jan, of Salter Path, NC and Sheree Jackson and husband Rodney, of Kenly, NC; five grandchildren Bailey Lewis, Elizabeth Johnson, Brody Jackson, Cody Lewis, and Joshua Johnson; three sisters Parma Lee Best, Grace Daniels, and Linda Hurt; five brothers Tommy McLendon, Jerry McLendon, John McLendon, Glenn McLendon, and Harry McLendon.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. in Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service, and Crematory. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery #5.
