Mrs. Barbara Beasor Glasgow, 92, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Haymount Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born on February 8, 1923 in Didsbury, England to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Elizabeth Beasor.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, MSGT M.L. (Lee) Glasgow.
She attended MacPherson Presbyterian Church where she served her Lord and Savior with all her heart. She was a loving mother as well as grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Nanna. She was a positive influence on many kindergarteners in the Ft. Bragg School System. During WWII she assisted with the Air Raid Wardens. She was a member of the Roadrunner Club, the Red Hat Society, a dancer with the Red Hat Dancing Divas, and the Heartwarmers.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Biggs of Fayetteville, Virginia Kennedy and husband Barry of Chester, VA; son, Richard Glasgow and wife, Linda of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; her family in England and Wales; along with many special friends.
A private family service will be conducted at a later date.
