Mr. William Ralph Snyder Jr.
Mr. William Ralph Snyder Jr., 79, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014.
He was born on August 8, 1934, in Chanute, Kansas, to the late William Ralph Snyder Sr., and Elizabeth Cubbage Snyder.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and Korean War receiving numerous medals and commendations.
He was a lifetime member of Village Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren Victoria Elizabeth Snyder and Christina Lucille Snyder.
He is survived by his loving wife Sigrid M. Snyder, of the home; two daughters Katrina Gaines, of Fayetteville, NC and Michelle Salisbury, and husband Joseph, of Stedman, NC; three sons Wolfgang W. Snyder, and wife Cindy, of Columbia, SC, Orville K. Snyder, and wife Barbara, Hope Mills, NC, and Robert L. Snyder, of Fayetteville, NC; one sister Rosemary Dolejsi, of Midwest City, OK; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandson soon to be born.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Village Presbyterian Church with Rev. Archie Barringer officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with the rendering of military honors.
