Mr. Vance Allen Marsh
Mr. Vance Allen Marsh, 53, of Hope Mills in the Grays Creek Community, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015.
He was born on April 12, 1962, in Robeson County, NC.
He was a graduate of South View High School and Chowan College. He enjoyed playing chess every weekend with friends. He also loved playing high school and college basketball.
He is survived by his parents Vance Brewer Marsh and Katherine Carter Marsh, of Grays Creek, NC; two sisters Janet Smith, of Hope Mills, NC and Kathy Redlin, of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother Michael Marsh, of Grays Creek, NC; daughter Ethelyn Churchwell, of White Oak, NC; and son Jacob; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Cape Fear Baptist Church, in Grays Creek with Rev. David Canady officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
