Mr. Stephen Jerrard Marshall

Mr. Stephen Jerrard Marshall, 25, of Fayetteville, NC, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May, 24, 2014.

Stephen was born on June 23, 1988, in Cumberland County to Ronald Lee Jackson and Stephanie Joyce Marshall.

Stephen was a 2006 graduate of Douglas Byrd High School, in Fayetteville, NC, where he played football for the Douglas Byrd Eagles his entire high school career.  He was a loving and free spirited person who touched so many lives during his short time with us.  Stephen was such a humorous and witty person who never met a stranger. Stephen’s tentative plans were to enlist into the United States Navy.

Stephen had a multitude of friends, and always saw the best in everyone.  If you were a friend of Stephen, you were his family and you always knew it. Friends of Stephen knew how much he loved and adored his mother and brother.

In Stephen’s 25 years of life he accumulated enough memories to last a lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his Father Ronald Lee Jackson; his maternal grandparents Willie Rufus and Marjorie Marshall.

He is survived by his mother Stephanie Joyce Marshall, of the home; one brother Antwan Jerome Sanders, of the home; his paternal grandmother Shirley Ann Grier, of Winston Salem, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, extended family, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service Chapel.   Burial will follow in John and Patricia Cooper Family Cemetery.
