Mr. Royce Leroy Nunnery, 87, of Vander, NC, born in Stedman, NC on February 23, 1930. He was a retired farmer and maintenance textile worker.
He was born to the late Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Nunnery who preceded him in death. Also, preceding him in death, his wife Mary Jean Nunnery, and siblings Cletha Hall, George Nunnery, Clarence Nunnery, Jasper Love Nunnery, Pearl Elizabeth Snell, James Nunnery, Jennings Nunnery, Hazel Nunnery, and Mary Lucille Wiggs.
He is survived by children, Gale Elizabeth Freeman and husband Tom Coble, of Fayetteville, NC, son Danny Nunnery, of Clayton, NC and Greg "Slim" Nunnery and wife Wendy, of Fayetteville, NC.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren Tony Freeman and wife Rhonda, Sabrina Freeman, Jason Nunnery and wife Casey, Jeana Muster and husband Jeff, Jessica Todd and husband Paul, Briget Mennona and husband Mike and Royce Leigh Nunnery; 12 great-grandchildren Aaron Freeman, Ciara Freeman, Tyler Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Hank Nunnery, Jacob Muster, Jada Muster, Nolan Todd, Owen Todd, Ethan Todd, Anthony Mennona and Annabelle Mennona; two sisters Jeannette Hamilton, of Bethesda, MD and Agnes Horne, of Fayetteville, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the church prior to funeral services.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy on HWY 210 Stedman, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
