Mr. Robert Eli Holland

Mr. Robert Eli Holland,89, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Holland was born on June 5, 1926 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Mr. Clarence Holland and Mrs. Janie Baker Holland.

Mr. Holland was a proud member of Gardners United Methodist Church. He served honorably in the U.S Army and was stationed in Germany in 1945. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Mr. Holland was also the owner and operator of the Holland's Esso Station on Murchison Road and Holland Trucking Company before retiring in the early nineties.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Holland and a grandson, Ricky Davis.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathi Barber of Hope Mills, NC; two grandchildren, Robbie Davis and Ashley Davis both of Boca Raton, FL; two sisters, Lucille Butler and Aundrey Fulcher both of Fayetteville, NC ; a companion, Margie Burke of Fayetteville, NC.

A funeral service will be held at Gardners United Methodist Church on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends  one hour prior the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
