Mr. Robert "Bob" M. Duell, 58, of Bellevue, WA passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
Mr. Duell was born on February 9, 1956 in Ft. Bragg, NC. Bob was a 1974 graduate from Terry Sanford High. His high school years were filled with athletic, civic and political activities, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fayetteville - Cumberland County Youth Counsel, and Republican party organizations and events at the county, state, and national level. He attended North Carolina State University and became a fraternity brother of the Beta-Beta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon. While at NCSU, Bob became proficient in SAS computer programming language. For many years he worked with the SAS Institute in Raleigh, installing the organization's high end software applications thought the country. After leaving SAS he joined Cingular Wireless as a programmer/systems analyst and remained with the company when it joined with AT&T. Bob lived and worked in Seattle, Washington area for the last 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, COL Clifford C. Duell.
Bob is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha Jund Duell of Fayetteville, NC.
Mrs. Martha Duell will receive friends at her residence at 611 Westmont Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28305. Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint John's Episcopal Church, Fayetteville, NC. A visitation will follow in the Kyle House. Burial will be held at Saint John's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Saint John's Episcopal Church, 302 Green Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 or the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, P.O. Box 53485, Fayetteville, NC 28305.
