Mr. Richard Gray Woolard Jr.
Mr. Richard Gray Woolard Jr., 72, of the Cedar Creek Community, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015.
He was born December 12, 1943 to the late Richard Gray Woolard Sr. and Lydia Congleton Woolard in Washington, NC.
Richard was retired from Goodyear Tire Company with over 25 years of service. He had a great love for antique cars and participated in many car shows. Richard was a child at heart and loved playing with his grandchildren and the neighborhood children. He was a member of Judson Missionary Baptist Church.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 49 years Cathy Woolard, of the home; one son Troy Gray Woolard and wife Paula, of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters Kimberly Riley and husband Chris, of Lexington, NC and Penny Blackburn and husband Randall, of Fayetteville, NC; 11 grandchildren Timothy, Zachary, Cameron, Brett, Megan, Tyler, Matthew, Ashley, Amanda, Nicolas, and Donald; one sister Jo Ann Crisp, of Mineral, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Judson Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brookshire officiating.
Burial will follow in Judson Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
