Mr. Percy Theodore âTedâ Autry, 77, of Stedman, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Cumberland County, NC on December 24, 1938. Ted was born on Christmas Eve along with his twin brother William Seymore Autry to Henry Clyde Autry and Alma Pope Autry who all preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by another brother Floyd Leon Autry.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also past master of Stedman Lodge #730. He retired from Eastern Turf Company and continued working part time there and also with Staff One at the Crown Coliseum.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years to Virginia âGennieâ Forsythe Autry, of the home; one son Bryan Autry, of the home; one daughter Lisa Holland and husband Michael, of Stedman, NC; one sister Laverne Strickland, of Stedman, NC; two brothers Kenneth Autry and wife Jeannette, of Dunn, NC and Leonard Autry, of Stedman, NC; three grandchildren Justin McLemore, and wife Davena, Brandon McLemore, and companion Gina Brewington and Karson Autry; and five great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Julius, Neenah, Raylinn, and Jayden McLemore.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivanâs Highland Funeral Service and Crematory. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Whitfield and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Burial Rites.
