Mr. Martin Luther Harris
Mr. Martin Luther Harris, 81, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Monday, January 8, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He was born on April 23, 1932, in Monticello, Florida. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church. Martin was a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He was a retired auditor with the State of North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lynell Harris, of Fayetteville, NC; one son David Harris and wife Susan, of Franklinton, NC; one grandson Jacob Harris and one granddaughter Carly Harris, both of Franklinton, NC; one sister Dorothy Brown, of Kinston, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:30 at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in the Gathering Hall. A memorial service will conducted at 11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Orchestra Endowment. 701 Westmont Dr., Fayetteville, NC 28305.
