Mr. Linwood Gerald Mozingo, Sr. 69, of Eastover, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013, at his home.
He was born on September 9, 1944, in Duplin Co, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father William Fletcher Mozingo.
He was a foreman and heavy equipment operator building numerous highways for over 28 years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife Thelma Jones Mozingo, of the home; two sons Linwood "Jerry" Mozingo, Jr. of Eastover, NC and daughter-in-law Debra, of Erwin, NC and Jamie Mozingo and daughter-in-law Kathy, both of Hope Mills, NC; two daughters Michelle Villanueva of Eastover, NC and April Mozingo, of the home; his mother Ruth Mozingo, of Hope Mills, NC; three sisters Margaret Wade, of Cumberland, NC, Jean Mason, of Hope Mills, NC, and Betty Mozingo, of Magnolia, NC; one brother William "Billy" Mozingo, of Hope Mills; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Cross Creek Cemetery #3 with Rev. Bruce Suggs, Rev. Butch Suggs, and Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Jr. officiating.
Services entrusted to Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service, and Crematory, of Fayetteville, NC.
