Mr. Joseph “Joe†Edward Williams, 74, of Hope, Mills, NC, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, November 14, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Williams “Jokie†was born on April 26, 1940, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands to the late Joseph Emmanuel Williams and Adena Wilhemenia Williams.
Joe was a retired feeder driver with United Parcel Service for over 34 years of honorable service.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter Laverne Carmen Williams, three sisters, and two brothers.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of over 49 years Blanche Faulkner Williams, of the home; four daughters Catherine Susan Mackey, of Hope Mills, NC, Jennifer Dawn Williams, of Raleigh, NC, Stephanie Yvonne Williams, of Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte Denise Williams, of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren Jazmine Marie Mackey, Jerome Maurice Mackey, and Olivia Nicole Mackey; three sisters Utah Swift, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Ethlyn Mitchell, Richmond, VA, and Mauricia Romney, Queens Village, NY.
The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service, and Crematory. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Blackman officiating. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park.
