Mr. John "Buck" Johnson, 64, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, in Fayetteville, NC.
Buck was born on Tuesday, August 9, 1949, in Harnett Co., North Carolina, to the late Vida Mae Solis Johnson and Merman Allen Johnson.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents; is his step father Robert Thomas and one sister Ann Silvas.
He is survived one son Glenn Jones, of Baltimore, Maryland; four sisters Joyce Gardner, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Kathy Jacobs, of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Diane Skipper, of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Cathy Maynor, of Fayetteville, North Carolina one granddaughter Amber Skipper, and numerous other grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Eastside Church of God. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.
