Mr. James Alfred Faulkner
Mr. James Alfred Faulkner, 91, of Fayetteville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 19, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 17, 1923 in Cumberland Co., NC to the late Fred Faulkner and Addie McLeod Faulkner.
He was a U.S. Air Force WWII veteran that received numerous medals and commendations. He was a retired evangelist who served numerous churches and also retired with the City of Fayetteville Public Works with over 38 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Sessoms Faulkner.
He is survived by two daughters Sherry Faulkner, and Judy Faulkner, both of the home; one son
John M. Faulkner, and his wife Irene, of Fayetteville, NC; one grandson Mark Faulkner, and his fiancée Holly Pallas, of Fayetteville, NC; and one sister Aleen Dlugosz, of Providence, RI.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Breezewood Church with Dr. William Vines officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park with military honors.
