Mr. Jack Dwayne "Darryl Lee" Montgomery
Mr. Jack Dwayne "Darryl Lee" Montgomery, 76, of Godwin, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at WakeMed in Raleigh, NC.
He was born on January 3, 1938, in Morgantown, WV , to the late Harry Lamont Montgomery and Margaret Daugherty Montgomery. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
"Darryl Lee" passes away leaving being behind a legacy of fans who followed his comedy career. "Darryl Lee" was his cast name for over 12 years at Northwood Temples Drama and Dinner Theater. A true comedian who put his heart and soul in every production. He was member of Northwood Temple.
He was also preceded in death in addition to his parents two sisters Shirley Ann Montgomery and Barbara Ann Monks; two grandchildren Jamie Montgomery and Joshua Cheek.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Page Montgomery, of Godwin, NC; one daughter Debby Michael, and husband Glenn, of Bulls Gap, TN; one sister Vonnie Miller, and husband Wendell, of Sharpsville, PA; two grandchildren Justin Montgomery, of Morristown, TN and Summer Benitez, and husband Bryant, of Morristown, TN; seven great-grandchildren Daisha, Sierra, Jaiden, Morgan, Zachary, Sharrisha, and Elijah; two step-sons Todd Wrench, and wife Sharlene, of Godwin, NC and Clark Wrench, and wife Melissa, of Dunn, NC; three step-grandchildren Terra Register, and husband Lance, of Godwin, NC, Lauren Wrench, of Dunn, NC and Logan Wrench, of Dunn, NC; two step-great grandchildren Jacob Register and Jaron Register.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Northwood Temple from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Northwood Temple with Dr. John Hedgepeth.
