Gerald Frank Belanger, IV (Sept. 28, 1953 - Oct. 4, 2013)

Born on Sept 28, 1953 to Gerald & Rubie Belanger in Franklin County, Rocky Mount, VA.  He was a 1972 graduate of Cape Fear High School in Stedman, NC.  He later served in the United States Navy and became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Vander, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Gerald Frank Belanger, III and Rubie Virginia Hodges Hurd Belanger, half-sister; Priscilla Lane Hurd Woods, half-brother, Robert Emmett Hurd, Jr.  He leaves us with tears and empty hearts.

He is survived by sons; Gerald Frank Belanger, V (Joey) and Jerrod Stacy Belanger (Possum), grandson; Greald Frank Belanger, VI (Joey Jr.), brothers; Aubery "Ed" Belanger of Fayetteville, NC, Terry Glenn Belanger of Fayetteville, NC, and John Ray Belanger of Ferrum, NC, sisters; Antoinette Sophronia Belanger of Fayetteville, NC, half-brother; Merle Lee Martin of Roanoke, VA, half-sisters; Edna Scott of Ferrum, VA and Marion Bea Thurman of Roanoke, VA, and many special loved nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, in Vander, NC on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Rogers
officiating.  

Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Vander, NC.
